About the Role

This exciting hands-on role will be located within the Operating Theatre complex. 

As an Enrolled Nurse - Case Preparation, you will be responsible for (but not limited to);

• Assembling, disassembling and managing theatre case set-ups in accordance with operating lists, displaying attention to detail
• The operation of specialised sterilising equipment specific to the Perioperative environment
• Perform effective decontamination and reprocessing of various endoscopes, equipment and accessories
• Maintain proof of process and cycle validation documentation specific to the perioperative environment
• Coordinate instrumentation and equipment requirements with theatre teams as per daily requirements
• To be available in a general capacity to assist theatre staff

This position is a key element of the surgical process and the ability to quickly and efficiently manage your caseload will directly affect the care of patients.

You will also demonstrate;

• Relevant qualifications and registration with AHPRA
• Certifed to administer medication and IV’s
• A high degree of attention to detail and accuracy
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a high-performing team
• Ability to plan, prioritise and coordinate workload efficiently
• Previous experience in a theatre / hospital environment

**The flexibility to handle a rotating roster will also be key for this role**
