Ramsay Health Care Australia is seeking a dedicated Communication and Engagement Officer to join our Payor Relations Team. This is a 2 year fixed term contract.
About the role
This vital position will see you supporting the Payor Relations Team in all aspects of external and internal communication and engagement with payors and industry stakeholders. You will play a key role in administering our communication strategies and managing the day-to-day project coordination of these strategies, working closely with the Payor Relations Team to ensure successful implementation.
Key responsibilities:
• Administering and supporting the execution of communication strategies for payor and industry stakeholders.
• Coordinating day-to-day project activities related to communication initiatives.
• Facilitating effective communication between the Payor Relations Team and external/internal stakeholders.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of engagement activities.
• Providing support for reporting and evaluation of communication and engagement efforts.
What we're looking for:
Essential
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills with the ability to plan and prepare documentation and communications to support contract compliance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Applications, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain Payor Relations brand integrity in collateral design.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders.
• Ability to systematically analyses problems or queries, draw relevant conclusions and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
• The ability to work autonomously, within a team and to tight deadlines.
• Experience with projects including Communication, support, and training.
• Experience in supporting or facilitating workshops and education sessions.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Tertiary qualification in health, communication, or a related discipline.
Desirable
• Knowledge of payor / health fund contract business rules to support compliance (e.g., eligibility, informed financial consent, hospital re-admissions, certification requirements and notification periods etc.)
• Demonstrated understanding of hospital administration processes and revenue cycle components (i.e., referral/bookings, pre-admissions, eligibility and informed financial consent, admissions, billing, and debtor’s management)
• Experience with hospital administration systems (e.g., patient administration system, online eligibility checking platforms, online booking systems etc)
• Previous private hospital experience
• An understanding of private health insurance rules and legislation
• Proven record of success and experience in previous roles in the health care sector
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Visio and Project
