About the Role

We have multiple positions available across the following specialties.

In these roles, you will:

  • Provide safe, high-quality, patient-centred care throughout the perioperative journey.
  • Work collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and a multidisciplinary team.
  • Contribute to a supportive and positive workplace culture.
  • Access ongoing education, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.

 

Skills & Experience

To be successful in these roles, you will have:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum 1–2 years post-graduate nursing experience.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to delivering excellent patient care.
  • Experience in Theatre or Recovery is desirable, but training is available for those eager to upskill.

About the Hospital

Cairns Private Hospital in tropical far north Queensland is an acute care facility offering a range of services including medical, general surgical, orthopaedic, gynaecology and cardiac services. This hospital is also equipped with The da Vinci surgical system, allowing surgeons to operate high-tech instrumentation with greater dexterity and precision than other minimally invasive techniques.

Requirements

  • Must provide or complete a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
