Career Medical Officer – Inpatient Wards

We are seeking a dedicated Career Medical Officer to join our inpatient ward team, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care across medical and surgical services.

In this ward-based role, you will provide comprehensive clinical management of inpatients, participate in daily ward rounds, coordinate investigations and treatment plans, and work closely with Consultants, Nursing and Allied Health teams to ensure safe, timely and effective care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ongoing assessment and management of ward patients
• Timely documentation and clinical handover
• Responding to clinical deterioration and urgent reviews
• Supporting discharge planning and continuity of care
• Contributing to quality and safety initiatives

About You:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner
• Experience in acute hospital ward settings
• Strong clinical judgement and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Commitment to patient safety and best practice care

• Provide or complete a National Police Check (conducted within the last 12 months)
