We are searching for an exceptional leader to join our experienced and dedicated team at Lake Macquarie Private Hospital, as Assistant Director of Clinical Services to manage and guide the flow through our large acute surgical site in conjunction with the hospitals and teams in the Newcastle Network.
The Opportunity
In this role, reporting to the Director of Clinical Services and collaborating with the Senior Management team, you will be supporting our hospital in daily operational and workforce management, and business development to deliver innovative patient care.
You will play a pivotal role in our organisation's success by providing clinical leadership, and offering operational support to ensure clinical excellence and high-quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting service growth, business development, and addressing the business needs identified by the Executive team and Ramsay Health Care
- Drive initiatives to enhance patient safety and maintain high quality patient outcomes
- Maintaining a focus on improvement and clinical excellence across the organisation
- Supervising care delivery and coordinating the activities of a multi-disciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes within resource constraints and compliance requirements
- Planning and managing hospital and departmental budgets in consultation with other executive team members
- Assessing workplace culture and implementing actions to support positive culture maintenance
- Managing Human Resources to forecast future workforce requirements and develop and implement strategies accordingly
- Managing stakeholder engagement and feedback
Skills and Experience
You excel at fostering positive working relationships with key stakeholders, developing people and building high-performance teams. In addition, you will also demonstrate:
- Relevant registration with AHPRA as Registered Nurse.
- Experience in a senior management role or equivalent
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with the capacity to inspire and guide teams effectively
- Experience in strategic planning, reporting, and policy development
- Familiarity with quality and risk management frameworks, as well as clinical governance principles
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to handle complex operational challenges in a dynamic environment
Remuneration
On offer is base hourly rate of $73.68 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
