About the Role
Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital is seeking a dedicated and motivated Clinical Trials Coordinator to join our expanding Clinical Trials and Research Unit. Our team conducts a wide range of research studies, with plans to broaden our services to additional medical specialties across the hospital. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with a team of highly engaged and respected medical professionals in a dynamic and supportive environment. Reporting to the Manager of the Clinical Trials Unit, you will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of allocated clinical trials.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee assigned clinical trials from initiation to completion.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including clinical investigators and hospital departments.
- Ensure all clinical trial activities are conducted in accordance with ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support participant engagement, including recruitment, screening, and follow-up.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for all trial-related activities.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- A degree qualification in Nursing, Allied Health, or a related research discipline.
- Experience in conducting clinical trials or clinical research, particularly in oncology or rheumatology (highly regarded).
- Proven ability to work effectively with busy clinical professionals and manage a dynamic, time-sensitive workload.
- Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to prioritise multiple competing tasks.
- Knowledge of Australian legislation and guidelines related to human research ethics and governance (preferred but not essential).
