About the Role


We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Health Information Officer to join our team on a permanent part-time basis (60 hours fortnight). Reporting to the Health Information Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate and timely medical records.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Retrieve and prepare records for admissions, inpatients, quality audits, and clinical needs.
  • Respond to internal and external release of information requests in line with privacy policies.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and data security at all times.
  • Follow up on outstanding documentation (e.g., discharge summaries, pathology reports).
  • Monitor and maintain clinical forms, registers, and archives.
  • Scan and file documentation efficiently.
  • Assist with documentation audits and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Previous experience in a medical records department or other clerical position within a health care setting
  • Previous experience in a private hospital setting
     

Remuneration

$29.78 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (Clerk - Grade 2 Year 1)

Requirements

  • Provide or complete a National Police Check (conducted within the last 12 months)
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
