The Opportunity

We are seeking Casual Group Therapists to support our day patient and inpatient group programs at Ramsay Clinic Northside (RCN). This role requires availability Monday to Friday to assist with both planned and unplanned leave coverage and willingness to cover shifts at short notice, including weekends.

We are inviting applications from qualified:

  • Counsellors
  • Social Workers
  • Psychologists

Experience facilitating group therapy programs is highly regarded.

Our service delivers a comprehensive group therapy program across a range of clinical areas, including:

  • Mood Disorders
  • Eating Disorders
  • Addiction
  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
  • Young Adult Programs
  • General Mental Health

These roles offer the opportunity to deliver meaningful therapeutic interventions within a supportive multidisciplinary team.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions using art, music, or leisure-based activities
  • Promote creative expression, self-reflection, and emotional wellbeing
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Encourage social interaction and patient engagement
  • Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary allied health team

 

Skills and Experience

You will have the ability to plan and organise skills groups, along with a commitment to excellence in the delivery of healthcare services to patients seeking mental health treatment. To succeed in this role, you will be a motivated and flexible team player with a high degree of professionalism.

You will need to demonstrate:

  • Qualified as a counsellor, psychologist, social worker with the appropriate registrations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be self-motivated and function autonomously whilst also being able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to facilitate and deliver skill group content with creativity and flexibility
  • Able to plan, organise and prioritise workload in a complex therapeutic environment
  • Familiar with Microsoft Suite

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
