About the role
Pindara Private has an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Biomed to join our friendly hospital. This is a 12-month fixed contract with possibility for extension. Reporting to the Biomedical Manager, the Senior Biomed is to carry out documentation, maintenance, testing repair, development, modification and construction of biomedical and other hospital equipment within the guidelines set out in relevant standards, technical manuals, hospital policies and procedures. This position is also required to act as a resource person and an expert for a selected range of equipment and advise on purchasing, maintenance and operation issues.
Essential Skills and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering or electrical engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Minium 5 years’ experience in biomedical engineering
- Strong understanding of medical device regulations and standards
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Queensland Restricted Electrical license
- Ability to maintain and repair a wide range of highly specialised medical machinery and equipment quickly and efficiently
- Ability to plan and coordinate workload
- Excellent work ethic and time management skills

Remuneration:
A base hourly rate ranging from $41.96 - $61.59 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications (QLD Biomedical Engineer gr1-gr8)

Pindara Private Hospital is conveniently located in Benowa, approximately 4 kilometres from Surfers Paradise. The hospital is easily accessible by road and from all the major arterial roads including the M1, Gold Coast Highway and Bundall Road with free parking. The hospital is also well serviced by public transport.

Requirements
- Must provide or complete a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
