The Opportunity
We are seeking compassionate and motivated Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to join our 30-bed Medical Oncology Ward, providing high-quality care to patients undergoing treatment for complex medical and oncology conditions.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering patient-centred care in a fast-paced acute hospital environment. The successful candidates will be caring, reliable, and passionate about patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living including hygiene, mobility, and nutrition
- Support nursing staff with routine clinical tasks and patient observations
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive ward environment
- Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients and families
- Assist with patient transfers and mobility
- Accurately document care and communicate changes in patient condition
Essential Criteria
- Certificate III in Health Services Assistance or be currently enrolled as a 2nd or 3rd year Registered Nursing student
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide compassionate care to patients with complex medical needs
- Commitment to maintaining patient dignity and confidentiality
- Flexibility to work across a 7-day rotating roster

Requirements
- Must provide or complete a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
