We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Speech Pathologist to join our Allied Health Team at St Andrew’s Ipswich Private Hospital in a permanent part time capacity (3 days per week).

The position involves Speech Pathology management of adult acute medical and surgical inpatients, inpatient and day rehabilitation patients, as well as our Ramsay Health Plus outpatient clinic.  Additionally, there is potential to work across multiple Ramsay sites including Greenslopes Private Hospital and Northwest Private Hospital if desired.

The successful applicant will have the following:

• Approved degree in Speech Pathology
• Certified practicing member of Speech Pathology Australia (essential)
• Minimum 2 years post graduate clinical experience in an acute hospital setting, with experience in dysphagia management (essential)
• Demonstrated skills and knowledge in Speech Pathology management of adult acute medical, surgical and rehabilitation patients (essential)
• Well-developed verbal and written communication skills including demonstrated effective interpersonal and customer service skills
• Demonstrated excellent organisation and autonomous workload management skills
• Experience with tracheostomy and other complex cases is desirable but not essential
• Experience with LSVT Loud or SPEAKOUT! highly regarded

Availability Requirements:

• Availability to work Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays is essential
• Availability to participate in a rotating weekend on‑call roster (approximately one weekend per month)
• Hours of work will be rostered, with flexibility accommodated where possible to support work–life balance.
