What You’ll Do
As the clinical leader of Castlecrag Private Hospital, your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing hospital operations and ensuring compliance with accreditation, regulatory, legal, and operational standards.
- Driving initiatives to enhance patient safety and maintain high-quality clinical outcomes.
- Managing care delivery logistics, including bed management, patient flow, demand forecasting, and workforce allocation.
- Implementing workforce planning strategies and supporting the professional development of clinical staff.
- Leading growth initiatives, business development opportunities, and responding to strategic priorities from the Executive team and Ramsay Health Care.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with the visiting medical officer (VMO) community to ensure the highest standards of clinical care.
- Planning and managing hospital and departmental budgets in collaboration with the Executive team.
- Assessing and fostering a positive workplace culture that encourages collaboration, engagement, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Bring

- Proven executive management experience with a strong understanding of private hospital operations and commercial imperatives.
- Expertise in resource management, ensuring efficient and effective functioning of clinical and non-clinical departments.
- Knowledge of quality improvement processes and performance levers that drive positive business outcomes.
- Strong passion for developing people, excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead organisational change and quality improvement initiatives.
- Sound understanding of clinical governance, patient safety, and operational excellence.
- Experience or expertise in operating theatre management is highly regarded.
Qualifications
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Post-graduate clinical qualifications.

Castlecrag Private Hospital is a 37-bed acute surgical and medical facility featuring three theatres specialising in Orthopaedic, Cosmetic, Plastic and Reconstructive, ENT, and Dental surgeries.
