Registered Nurse – Anaesthetic & Recovery – Strathfield Private Hospital

About the Role
You will work across both Anaesthetics and Post Anaesthesia Care Unit (PACU), delivering safe, high-quality care within a collaborative multidisciplinary team. This role offers excellent opportunities to develop advanced perioperative skills in a supportive and progressive environment. Applicants with experience in either Anaesthetics or Recovery are encouraged to apply.
However, a willingness to learn, upskill, and transition across both areas is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Provide safe and effective nursing care during the perioperative phase, including both anaesthetic and recovery areas
- Prepare and check anaesthetic equipment, medications, and monitoring systems prior to procedures
- Assist the Anaesthetist during induction, maintenance, and emergence from anaesthesia
- Monitor patients intraoperatively and in the immediate post-operative phase, ensuring early recognition and management of complications
- Deliver comprehensive post-anaesthetic care, including airway management, haemodynamic monitoring, and pain control
- Administer medications safely in accordance with hospital policies and best practice guidelines
- Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control, WHS, and patient safety standards
- Participate in effective communication and clinical handover processes
- Support patient flow within theatre and recovery to ensure efficiency and quality outcomes
What you’ll bring:
• Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in Anaesthetics and/or PACU (desirable)
• Demonstrated clinical competence and commitment to patient safety
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Remuneration
On offer is a competitive base hourly salary under the NSW Ramsay Health Care Nurses & Midwives Enterprise Agreement 2025, dependant on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

Requirements
- Provide or complete a National Police Check (conducted within the last 12 months)
