We have a fantastic permanent part time working 3 days over the week looking after our Baringa Private Hospital and Ramsay Surgical Centre Coffs Harbour. You will collaborate with our NSW Safety Manager and dedicated hospital teams, leading critical safety initiatives that protect and empower our people and patients daily.

 

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you’ll lead all WHS initiatives at Baringa Private Hospital, partnering closely with both the National Safety Team and the facility Executive Team to build and maintain a strong, proactive safety culture.

 

Key responsibilities include

  • Embedding and maintaining the Ramsay safety management system, templates, and documentation.
  • Investigating incidents and implementing solutions to minimise future risks.
  • Conducting risk assessments, site audits, and workplace safety training.
  • Developing and maintaining effective safety practices.
  • Preparing and presenting safety performance reports for internal stakeholders.

 

What You’ll Bring:

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in WH&S (Minimum of a Cert IV in WH&S).
  • Experience in Work Health and Safety, preferably within the health industry or a large organisation  
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with teams at all levels.
  • A proactive and highly organised approach to managing multiple priorities.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously.
  • Excellent planning, time management, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Full Australian work rights, a current Police Check & proof of immunisation against infectious diseases

 

What You’ll Be Paid:

This opportunity is suited to a permanent part-time arrangement working three days a week.

The base annual salary ranges from $110,000 to $115,000, plus superannuation. Final salary will be based on your hours, experience and qualifications, and does not include additional penalties or allowances.
