The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic individual with a strong customer focus to fill the role of a Theatre Orderly. As an orderly, you will be working in the theatre department with responsibilities including:
- Working with and assisting clinical staff
- Cleaning and waste removal
- Ensuring theatres are set up for surgical procedures and equipment has been checked
- Transporting patients between wards

Your Key Skills and Experience
- Certificate III in Health Services
- Previous experience working in operating theatres assisting with surgical procedures highly desirable
- Ability to communicate effectively with all patients, the general public and all hospital staff
- Ability to perform a physically demanding role
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively following directions.
- Be available for a range of shifts across a 7-day rotating roster
- A strong willingness to learn and develop a working knowledge of hospital procedures
Most importantly, you will bring a client-first attitude with a desire to assist our patients in obtaining the best possible outcomes for their health.
Remuneration
On offer is an hourly rate from $29.70 - $31.98 + superannuation based on qualifications and experience. Exclusive of penalties and allowances (QLD Support Services Level 2)
