Theatre Technician – Theatres

The Opportunity
The Avenue Hospital is seeking a Theatre Technician to work as part of their Theatre Team.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity and your duties in this role will include:
- Prepping surgical theatres for a variety of different procedures
- Performing cleaning and sterilising duties
- Assisting in the theatres where required by other clinical staff
- Maintaining surgical equipment and implements
- Transporting and supporting theatre patients.
Your Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, you will be an enthusiastic individual with a passion for customer service who enjoys being part of a busy team.
You will also bring:
- 3 years minimum Tech experience within an operating theatre (Essential)
- Certificate IV in Operating Theatre Technician Practice/Health Services Assistant or equivalent (Essential)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a diverse team
- The flexibility to work a rotating roster
- Understanding of infection control and manual handling procedures

- Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
