About the role
We are actively seeking a motivated, enthusiastic applicant who has effective communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work autonomously and within multidisciplinary team, and experience facilitating group therapy with adult populations.
Inpatient Program: This clinic has four adult wards, consisting of two general mental health wards, one addiction recovery ward and an older adult inpatient ward.
The right person for this role will have had experience working in settings caring for acute, complex and diverse clients. Including having experience with working in areas of :
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Trauma
- Eating disorders
- Self-harm or suicidal thoughts
- Attachment/relationship difficulties
- Emotional Regulation difficulties
Day Programs: We offer a variety of evidence-based group therapy programs designed to address specific needs. These programs help people in their recovery of mental health conditions.
These roles will suit a Psychologist, Registered Psychiatric Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Art Therapist, Music Therapist.
All applicants are required to have current APHRA registration or current Professional Body Membership)
About You
Essential Criteria:
- A minimum of 3 years post graduate experience in mental health and group facilitation;
- Training and experience in therapy modalities (CBT, DBT, ACT);
- Able to plan, organise and facilitate skills groups;
- Skill in engaging and supporting clients with severe mental health conditions.
- Commitment to excellence in the delivery of healthcare services to people seeking mental health treatment.
This role is:
- Group program is sole facilitated, however the role works alongside a specialist multi-disciplinary hospital team
- Trained in Evidence Based Therapy. The group facilitator must draw from therapies that have an evidence base, and must have knowledge and training in CBT, ACT, DBT (core therapies).
- Therapist creativity and flexibility in delivery of group content is desired
- Capacity for in-depth work with clients.
