About the Role
Joining us as a Food Services Assistant, your role involves managing meal orders, preparing patient food trays, beverages, and basic food preparation. This extends to accommodating special dietary requirements as directed by relevant Manager.
- Your responsibilities also encompass upholding cleanliness aligning with essential food safety, infection control and hospital standards.
In this role you will report to Catering Manager and work closely with a positive and respected team.
About You
To excel in this position, you should possess keen attention to detail and the ability to thrive in both team-based and independent settings, especially in fast paced environment.
Your adept prioritisation skills aligned with outstanding time management will contribute to your success.
You will also bring;
- Previous experience in a prep kitchen or hospital environment is highly desirable.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene principles
- Compliance with HACCP, Food Safety and Workplace, Health and Safety
- Highly Desirable: Certification in Health Support Services ( Certificate III) and a Food Handling Certificate
- Knowledge of food allergies and special diets would be helpful
- Flexibility to work morning, afternoon, weekend & public holiday shifts.
Remuneration: On offer is base hourly rate ranging from $24.87 + casual loading + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

Frances Perry House is a leading private maternity and women’s health hospital in Melbourne. The hospital accommodates 93 beds including a 25 bed Antenatal/Surgical Ward, 7 Birthing Suites, 36 bed Postnatal Ward, Level 4 Special Care Nursery, 4 Operating Theatres, Urodynamics Procedure Room. We also offer a Parenting Program at the Grand Hyatt and outpatient Maternity Care Centre.
