About the Role
You will be passionate and enthusiastic about being in the front line working with our patients, their support networks and our staff team. You will have excellent customer service skills and enjoy a varied and fast paced administration role.
As a Ward Clerk for our Women’s Mental Health Service, you will be responsible for a broad range of administrative duties including:
- Managing the busy reception desk, including answering calls and handling inquiries
- Managing both electronic and paper-based medical records
- Attention to detail and strong communication skills
- Maintaining accurate and efficient record management systems
- Supporting ward staff with administrative tasks
- Liaising with other departments and team members as required
- Completing other clerical tasks as requested, such as data entry, scanning, preparing resources, and welcome packs
- Conducting Health Fund checks and other financial tasks related to admissions
Your Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, you will be an effective and approachable administrative professional with a passion for client care and a high standard of customer-focused service in line with Ramsay's core values.
Essential:
- Excellent communication and high level customer service and communication skills
- Highly developed organisational skills
- Demonstrated accurate data entry and strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- Willingness to be flexible and take on additional shifts as requested
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
Desirable:
- Demonstrated minimum 1 year experience in a hospital/medical administrative position
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience with Meditech Patient Administrative System (PAS) or similar PAS
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record system , iPM, CERNER or similar

Ramsay Clinic Albert Road is a dedicated mental health care facility in the heart of Melbourne.
We offer acute inpatient services, neurostimulation services and a wide range of day and community programs for people requiring treatment for mood and anxiety disorders, psychosis, addictions, trauma, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
The Women’s Mental Health Service is an exciting new addition to the Clinic. It is a women’s only public health service provided in partnership with The Alfred and Goulburn Valley Health. This is the first service of its kind in Victoria.

- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
