About the Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and motivated Purchasing Officer in our Supply Department. Responsibilities include:
- Undertaking efficient, cost effective and timely purchase and procurement of consumables, equipment and other items required by Pindara Private Hospital and affiliated members.
- Ensuring and facilitation effective communication between the Supply Department, users, and suppliers.
About You
- Demonstrated commitment to uphold and promote the Ramsay Way core values.
- Experience of purchasing within a large service focused organisation.
- Experience with managing complex purchasing and financial issues with a computerized inventory system.
- Experience with SAP or similar materials management computer systems would be desirable.
- Proven skill in working in a highly organised and systematic manner in a supply environment.
- Effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and achieve deadlines.
- Proven ability to liaise, negotiate and problem solve with suppliers, clients and staff from other disciplines.
- Ability to use initiative, self-motivation, work as a team member with minimal supervision.
- Goods Receivals experience preferred
- Forklift licence preferred
- Hospital experience highly desirable

Requirements
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
