GP Liaison – Part time
Port Macquarie Private Hospital, NSW
Port Macquarie Private Hospital is seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional to join our team. Reporting directly to the hospital CEO, in collaboration with the Doctor Engagement Manager, this key position will be responsible for fostering doctor engagement, marketing hospital services, and driving referral growth.
This is a permanent part-time role offering flexible hours, including the ability to work school hours, making it an excellent opportunity for professionals seeking work-life balance.
Your duties and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Collaborate with the hospital team to develop and execute strategies that support growth in key specialties.
- Promote specialists and grow referrals through GP practice visits and a CPD program.
- Develop targeted communications to showcase new and existing medical specialists and services.
- Establish and maintain relationships with GP practices in the catchment area.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders to support business goals.
- Identify opportunities to drive growth and meet the needs of stakeholders.
- Maintain an accurate and detailed GP database.
- Provide monthly reports to evaluate the effectiveness of activities and demonstrate ROI through increased referrals.
Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Experience in business development or a similar role in healthcare.
- Strong understanding of the relationships between medical specialists and referring professionals (GPs, other specialists, and healthcare providers).
- Confidence in engaging with stakeholders and identifying opportunities to promote services.
- Experience in using data to monitor market trends, identify opportunities, and develop growth strategies.
- A proactive approach to building professional relationships and influencing referral groups.
Desirable:
- Experience in the private healthcare sector.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing, or Health.
- Event management experience.
