Senior Facilities and Maintenance Technician

The Opportunity
Supervision of Maintenance Contractors and undertake all assigned maintenance tasks as required to ensure provision of a comprehensive maintenance service that complies with legislative standards, corporate policy guidelines and approved Hospital budgets.
About You
This is a senior role in the team, reporting to the Facilities & Maintenance Manager, and an ability to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders, to build cohesive relationships is essential.
Successful candidates will meet the following criteria:
- Relevant Trades Qualification
- Previous experience in commercial facility maintenance, preferably hospitals
- A willingness to work across trades areas within skill levels
- Proven experience in external contractor management
- An interest and desire to assist people and the ability to work co-operatively with others
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Sound oral and written communication; computer literacy skills
- Demonstrated excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work unsupervised and prioritise tasks effectively
- Experience in and ongoing commitment to Quality Improvement principles
- Demonstrated understanding of OH&S requirements
- Current unrestricted Drivers’ License.
You will also meet the requirement to be part of oncall roster and for monthly generator testing (undertaken on weekends) Adhoc support may also be required for our other site in Donvale to cover periods of leave or high activity there.
