We are seeking a positive, diligent Café All Rounder to join our Jacaranda Café team at our busy onsite café at John Flynn Private Hospital on the Gold Coast!

The Role

As a Café team member, you will be responsible for preparing and serving coffee and other beverages. Your duties will also include working with the team taking orders, making a variety of hot and cold drinks, small amount of food preparation and provide timely service to customers.

You will also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness within the department in line with required food safety, infection control and hospital standards, while offering high standards of quality and service to customer and patients.  

In this role you will report to Cafe Manager and work closely with a positive and respected team.   

Your Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate the following:

• Previous work experience in a café environment with barista training preferred
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene principles
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus
• Compliance with HACCP, Food Safety and Workplace, Health and Safety
• Certificate II or Certificate III in Hospitality (desirable but not essential)

Remuneration

A base hourly rate ranging from $26.50 - $29.70 + superannuation + causal loading, based on experience level and qualifications. (QLD Support Services Level 1.1-2.1)

• Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
