John Flynn Private Hospital Theatre department is a busy, supportive environment that is seeking experienced and adaptive Theatre Orderly to join our team!

 

  • Permanent part-time opportunity

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, and working closely with Scrub/Scout and Anaesthetic staff, the Theatre Orderly is required to:

  • Transporting patients between areas of Perioperative department.
  • Assisting in the day to day functioning of the Operating Suite including preparation of theatre for surgery, patient transfer and positioning, equipment management.
  • Cleaning of theatres and waste management within department

This position will suit an enthusiastic individual with strong communication skills and ability to thrive on being a part of a busy theatre department. You will be working alongside a diverse team of doctors, nurses and non-clinical staff.  

 

Key Skills and Experience

  • Certificate III in Operating Theatre Technician Practice or equivalent is essential 
  • Technician experience within an operating theatre is essential
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment and independently when required
  • Be available for a range of shifts across a 7 day rotating roster

 

Remuneration

A base hourly rate ranging from $26.50 - $36.30 + superannuation, based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
