The Opportunity
This exceptional opportunity positions you as a key leader in clinical care, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer. You’ll oversee all operational aspects of clinical services, including clinical quality, therapeutic programs, intake, and bed management. As a senior leader in our public-private partnership, you’ll bring your strengths in stakeholder engagement, workforce development, and operational management to the forefront. What You’ll Do
Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve, but are not limited to:
- Lead and maintain compliance with accreditation standards, promoting a culture of excellence and ongoing quality improvement.
- Champion patient safety initiatives and ensure consistently high clinical outcomes across all service areas.
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory, legal, and operational requirements.
- Oversee care delivery logistics, including bed management, patient flow optimisation, demand forecasting, and workforce coordination.
- Drive strategic workforce planning and support the clinical workforce’s development to align with organisational priorities.
- Contribute to business growth and development initiatives, responding to emerging needs identified by the Executive team and Ramsay Health Care.
- Collaborate with the Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) community to ensure delivery of exceptional clinical care.
- Manage departmental budgets, working closely with the executive team to meet financial objectives.
- Evaluate workplace culture and implement strategies to cultivate a positive, engaged, and high-performing environment.
What You’ll Bring
As a proponent of The Ramsay Way - ‘People Caring for People’, you excel at fostering positive working relations with key stakeholders, developing people, building high-performance teams, and successfully leading them through organisational change. Additionally, you will:
- Extensive senior clinical leadership experience, supported by AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Deep expertise in clinical mental health care and service delivery.
- Strong ability to maintain strategic oversight while managing complex, high-pressure operational challenges.
- Proven success in leading Quality & Risk programs, including accreditation, continuous improvement, and complaint and incident management within a healthcare setting.
- Practical experience in workforce planning, roster optimisation, and fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.
- Sound business and financial acumen with a demonstrated ability to manage budgets and meet workforce, expense, and activity targets.
- Highly skilled in building and maintaining effective relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

Ramsay Clinic Albert Road is a leading mental health facility located in the heart of Melbourne. We provide acute inpatient care, neurostimulation services, and an extensive range of day and community programs for individuals experiencing mood and anxiety disorders, psychosis, addictions, and trauma.
