About the Role
In this role you will be responsible for food preparation for patients and staff, ensuring a high standard in quality of Hospital food production and cleanliness within the department in line with required Food Safety Plan, relevant HACCP standards and Hospital policies.
Supported by the Catering Team and Catering Manager you will:
- Ensure all meals are presented in appropriate proportions and according to the menu requests.
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
- Assist in ordering of all food stock, ingredients, supplies, and equipment.
Your Skills and Experience
You will act as a positive role model while demonstrating an ability to foster a culture that is positive, friendly, cooperative, and forward thinking.
You will also bring:
- Certificate III in commercial cookery or equivalent skills from previous experience
- Previous experience in a Hotel kitchen (desirable, although not mandatory)
- Compliance with HACCP, Food Safety and Workplace, Health and Safety
- Commitment to excellence in preparation and supply of food services
- Commitment to excellence in hygiene standards.
Remuneration: On offer is base hourly rate of $32.22+ superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (QLD support services EA Level 3 Yr 1 )

Requirements
- Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
