About The Role

The successful candidate will support the healthcare and hospital support teams by assisting with service delivery, transporting patients using designated equipment, and providing care within the scope of their qualifications, in accordance with hospital policies and guidelines.

Your duties will include:

• Provide patient care where required or supported by clinical staff members.
• Performing cleaning duties in patient rooms and common areas.
• Assist patients on arrival and allow them to settle for their admission.
• Pick up new admissions using Hospital wheelchair Accessible Car.
• Transport patients to and from appointments using Hospital Wheelchair Accessible Car.

Your Skills and Experience

• Previous experience or a keen interest in Patient Care Assistance.
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team or independently as required.

You will also hold.

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Health Services or Care Support Services (Desirable).
• Experience within a clinical hospital setting.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.
• Solid understanding of hospital operations, medical terminology, and quality patient care.
• Understanding importance of infection control and manual handling guidelines.

Remuneration

On offer is $27.30 - $28.33 + superannuation. Based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
