The Opportunity

Greenslopes Private Hospital is proud to be one of Australia’s leading private teaching hospitals, owned and operated by Ramsay Health Care. Located on the southside of Brisbane - approximately 5km from the CBD, Greenslopes Private is renowned as a world-class tertiary medical facility offering the latest treatments and first-class service to our patients.

We are looking for an experienced or developing leader to support this large and dynamic Theatre department. 

 

About the Role

As the NUM you will be taking on a key leadership role within the unit, supported by a cohesive and dedicated team of ANUMS, Registered and Enrolled Nurses, Support and Administrative staff.

A significant part of the NUM role is to effectively lead your team, ensuring staff are equipped to perform their roles to the highest standards within a safe and collaborative environment.

In this role you will:

  • Be responsible for the day to day management of the Theatre Complex
  • Have a strong commitment to patient safety, customer and partner services
  • Have the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with the Doctors and Staff
  • Be part of a support hospital-wide senior leadership team

 

About You

You are an experienced nurse leader with a passion for surgical excellence and a commitment to safe, evidence-based practice.  You thrive in a fast-paced environment and bring a collaborative leadership style that inspires and motivates your team. Customer focus is a priority in all aspects of care delivered in line with Ramsay's core values.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Extensive experience as a Perioperative Nurse with sound knowledge of ACORN standards
  • Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and manage large scale theatre operations
  • Demonstrated clinical problem-solving abilities and risk minimisation
  • Post Graduate Qualifications in Perioperative Nursing and or Health/Business and/or Management (desirable)
  • Clinical expertise and commitment to high quality patient care
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
