We're looking for a Hotel Services Assistant to join our supportive team

 

The Opportunity

We are offering the opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Hotel Services Assistant, working across various areas of the hospital as required. Reporting to the Hotel Services Manager, this role will require you to,

  • Maintaining food hygiene, a clean working area and safety practices
  • Deliver food & beverages to the hospital patients and staff
  • Ensure a high standard of cleanliness through all areas of the hospital is maintained in line with infection control guidelines
  • Work productively in a team whilst independently managing your workload

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and the ability to remain calm under pressure. You will also be punctual, reliable and with a commitment to genuine, friendly customer service.

You will also demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in a catering or housekeeping role desirable, but not essential.
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene principles
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus
  • Compliance with HACCP, Food Safety and Workplace, Health and Safety
  • Certificate II or Certificate III in Hospitality (desirable) 
  • Strong understanding of infection control procedures
  • Availability across a 7-day roster, including morning and afternoon shifts

This hospital has 43 beds, 3 fully equipped operating theatres, a 12 chair Day Procedure Unit and a comfortable day oncology unit. The Hospital is collocated with Caboolture Public Hospital.

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
