• Patient Services Assistant – Day Surgery Unit: Casual positions: better work life balance!
• Available Monday - Friday for morning and afternoon shifts.

About the role

You will be responsible for providing environmental cleaning and patient support services within the 2 Day of Surgery Units.

Duties and responsibilities will involve, but are not limited to;

• Performing all cleaning tasks to the required infection control standards and within designated timeframe
• Transporting patients, providing refreshments, general cleaning
• Delivering patients luggage
• Utilising equipment and resources effectively and efficiently;
• Completing other tasks as directed by the relevant Supervisor/ Manager.

Successful candidate will be working across two busy Day of Surgery Units and must be available to work across a Monday to Friday roster and available for Morning and afternoon shifts (between 0600-2030).

About You

Essential criteria:

• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
• Effective interpersonal communication skills
• Demonstrated time management and organisational skills
• Possess a positive “can-do” attitude

Desirable criteria:

• Certificate II in Health Support Services
• Experience working in hospital cleaning.

Requirements

• Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
