Practice Manager – Critical Care & Outpatients
Noosa Private Hospital

Noosa Private Hospital is seeking an experienced and proactive Practice Manager to lead the administration services across our Critical Care (ED and ICU) and Outpatients Consulting Suites.

This is a pivotal role that combines people leadership, operational coordination, and process improvement across key hospital services. You will manage a team of administrative staff across both areas and work closely with the Hospital Administration Manager and clinical leaders to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

 

Key responsibilities include

  • Leading and supporting the administrative teams in Emergency, ICU, and Outpatient Clinics.
  • Coordinating medical rosters for employed and contract doctors, including onboarding, scheduling, and supporting junior doctor coverage.
  • Overseeing consulting suite operations, ensuring a high-quality experience for patients and doctors.
  • Managing billing accuracy, revenue protection, and claims processes.
  • Driving continuous improvement in administrative workflows, booking systems, and clinic flow.
  • Collaborating with senior clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to support service delivery aligned with the Ramsay Way.

Your Essential Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated office management experience, ideally with private health/hospital experience
  • Proven experienced managing a busy multidisciplinary team
  • Exceptional people skills, strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised and able to efficiently prioritise
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office programs

 

Desirable

  • Qualification in Administration, management or Health Services disciplines will be highly regarded
  • Knowledge of health fund contracting system
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to change
  • Experience with IBA, Meditech or similar patient administration software

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
