About the role 

We are seeking an experienced and proactive cath lab clinician who is ready to take the next step as a Clinical Nurse. This is an advanced level Registered Nurse role, acting as a clinical and professional resource in all facets of caring for the patient whilst problem solving within the clinical setting. The Clinical Nurse contributes to, and participates in, the education of all graduates and novice staff by being involved in department orientation, in-service and clinical programs.

The Cardiovascular Suite / Catheterisation Laboratory at Greenslopes Private Hospital provides diagnostic and interventional cardiac and electrophysiology services across 3 Cath Labs and a Hybrid operating theatre and is one of the largest private surgical departments in Queensland.

Utilising the latest advancements in Health technology, such as 18 Endosuites, Cardiac/Thoracic specific theatres, new state of the art Obstetrics Theatre, Neurosurgery Suite with Intra-Operative CT Scanner, the Da Vinci robotic surgical system, Mazor Spinal robot and multiple brand-new theatre facilities, the Greenslopes Private Hospital Theatre team operates on the cutting-edge of technology

 

The flexibility to work a rotating roster including afternoon and evening shifts will be crucial to this role.

 

Our Cardiovascular Suites at Greenslopes Private Hospital have an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse to step into a key leadership position, acting act as a professional resource, passionate mentor, and role model to junior team members.

 

You will be required to assist the Nurse Unit Manager to:

  • Developing standards of practice
  • Implementing changes to clinical practice
  • Initiating research, education, and quality improvement activities

 

Remuneration: On offer is base $52.86 - $56.83 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (QLD Clinical Nurse/Midwife Level 2 gr1-gr4) [$104,451.36 - $112,296.08].

 

Your Essential Skills and Experience

You love the challenge, and the satisfaction, of working at the top level of practice in private health care and are looking for a leadership opportunity.

  • Qualifications and registration with AHRPA
  • Minimum of 3 years recent Cath Lab specialty experience
  • Post graduate qualifications or willing to work towards is desirable
  • Clinical leadership experience will be highly regarded
  • Demonstrated personal commitment to ongoing professional development.
