The Opportunity
The Deputy Director of Clinical Services – Medicine and ICU will provide both clinical and operational leadership, manage the clinical workforce, and oversee governance of inpatient wards for medical specialties, ICU, specialist nurses, and cancer services.
This role supports the Director of Clinical Services (DCS) and helps Hollywood Private Hospital achieve its patient and workforce objectives. One of the main role will also be driving strategic excellence and patient-centred care across our health service.

Key selection criteria:
- Registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
- 3-5 years’ experience in a senior management position, leading and motivating a nursing workforce with experience in a private health care environment
- Proven experience managing clinical risk, and implementing contemporary strategies to promote high quality, safe and effective patient care
- Demonstrated knowledge of clinical governance principles and patient safety
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to foster positive working relationships with diverse groups
- Awareness of the relevant legislative requirements and governing body reporting responsibilities; and
- Demonstrated skills in workforce planning and redesign, rostering and working within budgeted work hours.
