About the role
The Operational Implementation Lead plays a critical role in enhancing the quality and efficiency of healthcare delivery across Ramsay Australia. This position is responsible for supporting and driving the successful implementation of procurement initiatives and new contracts, ensuring alignment with operational needs and strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities include engaging and communicating with healthcare sites, identifying and resolving risks and issues, and delivering targeted training and education programs. The role serves as a key link between procurement and operations, focusing on cost reduction, risk mitigation, and the procurement of high-quality, cost-effective products and equipment.
The Operational Implementation Lead also provides expert operational guidance to support the implementation of procurement processes, including managing the involvement of hospitals in sourcing activities such as Subject Matter Expert (SME) panels and product trials. This role is essential in ensuring a seamless transition from procurement planning to execution within clinical and operational settings.
This is a fulltime fixed term contract until the 01/08/2027 with the option to become permanent after this time.
Key Skills and Experience
Essential
- Operational background (e.g., Facilities manager, biomed manager, ward manager, business operations, nurse) with experience in a healthcare setting.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and the healthcare supply chain.
- Excellent relationship builder and stakeholder manager with the ability to influence across internal and external key business functions including Procurement, Operational and clinical Leadership, Operational and clinical Staff, Supply Teams, and Suppliers.
- Ability to prioritise workload, managing multiple tasks while also undertaking new project work.
- Ability to cascade communication effectively and strong change management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly motivated with a “can-do/will-do” attitude.
Desirable
- Experience working within nonclinical areas including major capital and Service & Maintenance
- Past involvement in procurement including vendor assessment, evaluation and implementation.
- Proficiency with procurement and operational systems e.g. SAP, P2P systems, Ordering and or Service maintenance.
- Project management knowledge and experience working in in change management programs.
