The Opportunity
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the health care and hospital support teams in the provision of services, patient transport and care for patients. The ideal candidate will be a driven individual with a client-focused mindset, eager to support our staff and patients in achieving the best possible outcomes.
We have multiple casual opportunities available.
- Transport of patients from and to various locations throughout hospital.
- Assist with patient manual handling with the use of aides.
- Assist with response to emergencies
- Cleans areas and equipment as required within the hospital.
- Carries out other duties as directed by the Patient Transport Manager and after-hours hospital co-ordinator.
Flexibility to work across a seven-day rotating roster is essential for this role.
Your Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you will be a positive and effective team player who brings excellent attention to detail and interpersonal skills. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to manage your time effectively to meet your responsibilities.
You will also hold.
- Certificate III in Aged Care, Health Services or Care Support Services (Desirable).
- Experience within a clinical hospital setting.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.
- Solid understanding of hospital operations, medical terminology, and quality patient care.
- Understanding importance of infection control and manual handling guidelines.
Desirable:
- Certificate 4 in Health Services

Requirements
- Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
