The Opportunity

We are seeking a Mental Health Intake Clinician to support our team at Ramsay Clinic Wentworthville. This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse with extensive intake experience. Our Admissions Team works closely with Psychiatrists, GPs, and other external referrers, ensuring compliance and effective risk management processes. This role is a fundamental part of our patient’s journey, as it oversees the first point of contact. It is essential that all enquiries are met with professional, compassionate, and timely responses.

 

Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you will possess highly effective leadership skills and the ability to foster strong, positive, and professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.  You will have demonstrated communication and organisational skills with an ability to prioritise competing tasks effectively. You will have a proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining a strong customer service focus. You will be empathetic, professional and have a strong understanding of clinical risk management.

You will also demonstrate:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Excellent attention to detail, decision making capabilities and ability to communicate clearly and concisely with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Clinical expertise within the Mental Health domain, effectively promoting care pathways to appropriate facility services.
  • Evidence that you actively inspire, motivate, and develop others to high performance through role modelling and the achievement of personal, team and business goals.
  • Assess critical situations and manage competing demands.
  • Ability to practice collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary health care team.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel.

The Hospital

Totalling 68 inpatient beds, robust day programs and neuro-stimulation services, the facility provides specialised and comprehensive assessment and treatment programs for a broad range of mental health issues, including specialised addictions and eating disorder programs.

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
