The Opportunity:
The Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team is a multifaceted team responsible for managing and supporting the accurate timely and efficient collection of revenue, from the initial patient encounter or service provided to the receipt of final payment. The team oversees a diverse range of operational facets including administration tasks such as insurance coverage verification, hospital admission, and charge capture, as well as accurate coding of services rendered and adherence to contractual business rules, claim submission to payors and diligent follow up on outstanding accounts.
As the RCM Operational Business Analyst, your primary focus will be improving process efficiencies, managing documentation, and collaborating across teams with an operational perspective. Working directly with the operational stream lead, you will engage closely with end users and key stakeholders to support the rollout of new processes, systems, and initiatives. You will take an active role in change management by creating and delivering training materials, gathering user feedback, supporting adoption, and helping ensure a smooth transition.
About you:
To succeed in this role, you will be a motivated professional with solid experience in hospital administration and a deep understanding of revenue cycle management processes and commitment to process improvement. Your strong written and verbal communication skills enable you to prepare clear documentation and deliver tailored presentations to diverse audiences. Comfort in both collaborative team settings and autonomous working environments is essential, reflecting your adaptability and versatility in achieving objectives.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrate understanding of hospital administration processes and revenue cycle components (i.e. Referral bookings/ preadmissions, eligibility and informed financial consent, admissions, certificate management)
- Experience with patient administration systems: e.g., Meditech, Eclipse, SAP, online booking systems and other relevant health industry specific applications.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in hospital administration.
- Demonstrated written skills with the ability to prepare clear and detailed documentation such as training/education materials or application acceptance criteria.
- Dedicated to ongoing process enhancement and the pursuit of excellence in hospital administration practices.
- Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt workshop and training content to different audience needs and learning styles.
- Ability to work autonomously, within a multi-disciplinary team, collaboratively with stakeholders and to tight deadlines.
Desirable:
- Experience and knowledge of private health insurers and payor contracts.
- Previous experience with projects or change management.
- Industry certification in process improvement or a tertiary qualification in business, commence or health.
