About the Role
Our Theatre department is seeking an experienced and motivated Theatre Orderly to support a multidisciplinary team across 4 Operating Theatres. You will contribute to providing a safe environment for patients, staff and Visiting Medical Practitioners through the following duties:
- Transporting patients to and from the Theatre
- Assisting in the day-to-day function of the Operating Suite with patient positioning, theatre set ups, and cleaning and restocking of theatres
- Removing rubbished and soiled linen
- Providing support to the wards when required
About You
You are a motivated individual and bring a client-first attitude with a desire to assist our staff and patients in obtaining the best possible outcomes.
You will also bring:
- Certificate III in Health Services (desirable)
- Previous experience working in operating theatres assisting with surgical procedures (desirable)
- Ability to communicate effectively with all patients, the general public and all hospital staff
- Ability to perform a physically demanding role
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively following directions
Remuneration
Based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
