The Opportunity
 
An opportunity exists for a Qualified Technician (mechanical) to join our Engineering Services department at Joondalup Health Campus. We are a diverse team and with the assistance of our contractors, provide an efficient and effective operation of engineering, building and biomedical services.
 
 
Exciting Opportunity 
 
We are actively looking for a Qualified Technician – Mechanical to join our Engineering Services team. Your role involves ensuring smooth delivery of maintenance and engineering services.
 
 
You will be responsible for undertaking assigned maintenance activities, which will involve, but is not limited to;
  • Repair and maintain mechanical services and mechanical equipment
  • Providing supervision support to maintenance personnel when needed
  • Ensuring assigned tasks meet defined service levels and are completed accurately
  • Monitoring and responding to fault calls promptly, ensuring repairs are done within specified timeframes.
  • Work with and supervise contractors on site.
  • Taking charge of workplace safety, ensuring compliance with all Workplace Health and Safety regulations for the well-being of staff and visitors. 
  • Participate in the on-call roster.
 
You will also be responsible for ensuring that the workplace is safe for all staff and visitors, meeting all Workplace Health and Safety regulations.
 
 
About you
 
To succeed in this role, you will have experience working in a similar role, preferable in a health services environment and be committed to promoting and accepting the Ramsay Way values. Your exceptional communication and ability to lead, support and motivate staff is essential to this role.
 
 
The successful candidate will also meet the following criteria:
  • Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting
  • Expertise in commercial health care mechanical services
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience, preferably within healthcare
  • Familiarity with key Australian Standards, associated maintenance knowledge and their impact on hospital operational performance
  • Proven ability to work without supervision and take proactive initiatives
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills.
 
Remuneration: On offer is base hourly rate ranging from $45.94 + superannuation + levels of experience and qualification.
