The Opportunity
Ramsay Health Care is seeking a Service Line Director to lead the design and implementation of the cardiac service line strategy, aimed at improving patient and doctor experience while growing the contribution of cardiac services within Ramsay Health Care Australia. This pivotal role will work closely with the GM – Integrated Care & Service Development to shape and execute a forward-looking strategy for cardiac care, ensuring Ramsay remains at the forefront of clinical excellence and innovation. The successful candidate will play a hands-on role, collaborating across the business to deliver strategic initiatives that enhance service quality, strengthen partnerships, and drive sustainable growth. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve, but are not limited to:
- Conducting horizon scanning to identify innovative solutions, emerging trends, and their implications for Ramsay.
- Leading the development of the cardiac service line strategy.
- Overseeing and driving the implementation of key strategic projects.
- Representing Ramsay’s interests and building strong partnerships with external organisations, such as research institutions and third-sector partners.
- Partnering with internal stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of key initiatives (e.g. Ramsay Hospitals and Health Services)
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience in a complex healthcare environment, with a deep understanding of private healthcare and cardiac services in Australia.
- Strong program leadership capability, with a track record of innovative thinking, effective problem-solving, and balancing present and future priorities.
- Adaptable and comfortable working in dynamic, rapidly changing, and ambiguous environments.
- Demonstrated success in overseeing and delivering complex programs of work.
- Skilled in facilitating cross-functional teams and coordinating across business groups, with the ability to positively influence diverse stakeholders without direct authority.
- Exceptional written communication skills, complemented by strong presentation and public speaking abilities.
Desirable
- Experience in health service design and implementation.
- In-depth understanding of clinical trends in cardiac care, particularly within the private sector.
- Strong analytical skills, with solid financial and commercial acumen.
