After Hours Coordinator

An exciting opportunity to join our leadership team and work alongside our experienced After Hours Team in a dynamic hospital environment. Permanent part-time Night Duty positions available. 

 

About the Role

This is a key leadership position that is accountable for efficient and effective operational management of the hospital after-hours. 

  • Support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of care practices, hospital services, and operational flow to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and legislative requirements to uphold clinical best practices.
  • Foster a collaborative environment by working closely with Shift Leaders and Clinical Managers to drive excellence in patient care and team performance.
  • Lead and inspire our dedicated team of nurses, promoting accountability, compassion, and high standards of care.
  • Champion teamwork and clinical excellence by partnering with Shift Leaders, Clinical Managers, and Visiting Medical Officers to deliver coordinated care, ensure adherence to best practices, and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with medical staff to support seamless communication and multidisciplinary care.
  • Report directly to the Director of Clinical Services, contributing to strategic planning and departmental goals.

 

About You

To be successful in this role you will be a positive and influential leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to coordinate and motivate a diverse team of clinical and non-clinical professionals. Your collaborative approach and strong communication skills enable you to build trusted relationships with colleagues and Visiting Medical Officers, driving best practice care and optimal patient outcomes.

 

You will also bring;

  • Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 5 years postgraduate experience within Acute Care.
  • Experience within Orthopaedics
  • Demonstrated ability to be an effective role model in the area of clinical practice
  • Sound Computer skills in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

 

Remuneration: On offer is base hourly rate ranging from $62.53 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
