The Opportunity
We are seeking a Quality and Risk Coordinator to join our team at Nowra Private Hospital. This role plays a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of care and ensuring positive business outcomes while minimising potential risks within our hospital.
As the Quality and Risk Coordinator, you will provide both strategic and operational leadership to ensure compliance with Ramsay Health Care’s Patient Safety and Clinical Quality Framework.
The key focus areas of this role include:
- Patient safety and feedback systems.
- Governance processes.
- Legislative and accreditation reporting.
- Data collection and reporting to relevant committee(s)
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer / Director of Clinical Services, you will align yourself with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.
Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, you will be a confident, self-directed individual with a high level of skill and knowledge in all aspect of hospital governance.
- Relevant clinical qualifications in Nursing or Allied Health
- Minimum of 5 years in an acute hospital setting
- Experience and competence in undertaking root cause analysis investigations
- Demonstrated effectiveness in both operational and strategic leadership in a hospital setting
- Experience and expertise in quality and patient safety role/s
- Demonstrated understanding of quality improvement framework/s
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Intermediate to advanced skills in the Microsoft office suite and knowledge of databases such as RiskMan

The Hospital
Nowra Private Hospital has been providing quality health care services to the Shoalhaven region and south coast of New South Wales since being commissioned in 1980. Our 62-bed facility provides acute surgical and medical services, rehabilitation, and day surgery services.
