About the Role

In this role you will be working within our ENT & Plastics department. This role is suited to an experienced Nurse with management aspirations or experience to step into a key leadership role in the department.

 

 In this position you will be taking on a key leadership role. 

  • Facilitate the smooth coordination of our ENT & Plastics specialties with a can-do attitude and a strong customer service focus
  • Apply advanced nursing practices in planning, implementing and evaluating care in accordance with National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards
  • Provide leadership and direction to complement the strategic direction, operational processes, budget and business direction of the unit and hospital.
  • You will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager in the efficient management of staff and resources within the unit ensuring achievement of excellence in care delivery in line with policies and procedures, best practice and legislative requirements. 
  • You will also be required to oversee the activities of the unit including management of KPI’s and Floor Coordinating.
  • You will be mentoring and leading a passionate team of nurses alongside a supportive leadership team so this role will suit an individual driven to help others succeed. 

 

About You

  • Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
  • 3-4 years’ experience in ENT/ Plastics will be ideal for this role.
  • Any clinical leadership experience or post-graduate specialty qualifications will be highly regarded, although not essential.
  • Able to use critical thinking in decision making
  • Management skills and experience
  • Enjoys working in a high paced, busy unit and has an excellent work ethic with a team focus.

Requirements
