The Opportunity:

Joondalup Health Campus is seeking an experienced Orthopaedic Clinical Nurse to join our Perioperative Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in teaching and education, be proficient in all arthroplasty procedures, and demonstrate a commitment to supporting and training junior staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Promotes and maintains clinical standards in the perioperative department to ensure the delivery of quality patient care
  • Responsible for the coordination of quality nursing care in accordance with organisation policies and procedures, as well as in accordance with the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards
  • Participates as a supportive team member in clinical decision-making
  • Provides clinical leadership as a role model for practice
  • Be committed to maintaining a positive culture within the department.

 

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong clinical skillset in the perioperative setting with experience working as an orthopaedic Scrub /Scout nurse

  • Your passion for providing quality care, ability to work within a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team environment and your client-first attitude is essential for this role.

 You will have:

  • Minimum of 3 years of recent perioperative experience as a scrub/scout nurse, predominantly in orthopaedic surgery.
  • Demonstrated experience scrubbing for a variety of arthroplasty systems, including robotic assisted arthroplasty.
  • Proven experience in orthopaedic trauma surgery.
  • Well-developed problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to demonstrate clinical leadership
  • Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
  • Highly organised with a proven ability to manage emergency situations
  • Demonstrates strong adaptability in dynamic situations
  • Exhibits effective decision making in real time
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
  • Current Registration with AHPRA as a Division 1 Registered Nurse

 

Remuneration: On offer is base hourly rate ranging from $102,387.90 - $108,784.58 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (WA Clinical Nurse/Midwife Level 2 gr1-gr4)

Requirements

  • Provide or complete a National Police Check conducted within the last 12 months
