About the Role 
 
 Ramsay Health Care is seeking a range of clinical trial and administrative roles who will work with the Clinical Trials & Research Managers at our sites to develop clinical trials across a range of therapeutic areas.  These roles support our clinical trials operations and represent an opportunity for the successful applicant to join a network that operates across 26 hospitals in Australia and has significant opportunity for career development and growth.   
 
Key Roles & Sites:
 
• Senior Clinical Trials Coordinator – Pindara Private Hospital (QLD)
• Clinical Trials Coordinator – Greenslopes Private (QLD)
• Clinical Trials Coordinator – Wollongong Private (NSW)
• Clinical Trials Finance & Administration Assistant – Hollywood Private Hospital (WA)
 
The successful applicants will be responsible for coordinating the day to day activities related to sponsored and investigator driven clinical trials that have been established at the sites.  In this role, you will have the opportunity to make significant contributions to the development of a leading clinical trials unit at the hospital and within the broader Ramsay Research & Development Network. 
 
Key responsibilities include: 
 
• The implementation of clinical trial protocols, including the recruitment of patients, coordinating patient visits and data collection in accordance with clinical trials protocols and following up patients as needed 
• Assistance with the start-up processes for clinical trials, ensuring that the site is able to be activated as quickly as possible 
• Participate in the Ramsay Research & Development Network, attending national meetings and working collaboratively within the network to develop clinical trials & research within Ramsay Health Care. 
• Develop, implement and maintain systems to support the operational activities of the clinical trials unit as required by the site and the national team  
• Finance & Administrative roles will focus on the management of account payable and receivable within the site.  
 As the scope of research within Ramsay increases this role may also be required to work at other sites within the Ramsay Research Network.
 
About You 
 
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and experience:
• Clinical Trial Coordinator roles require Nursing, Allied Health or Science / Research Qualification and demonstrated understanding of clinical trials methodology / ICH-GCP requirements.
• Finance & Administration roles require prior experience in financial or medical administration.
• Demonstrated leadership ability working in a multidisciplinary health care team.
• Demonstrable commitment to high professional standards in all aspects of work.
• Excellent communication, time management and organisation skills with the ability to prioritise activities
• Ability to develop rapport with patients and their families in stressful situations.
 
Desirable
 
• Prior experience in clinical trials or clinical research projects with demonstrated understanding in the establishment of clinical research and the negotiation and management of clinical research budgets and allocation of resources to ensure projects are able to reach stated objectives.  
• Demonstrated high level conceptual and analytical skills and the capacity to show initiative, to develop solutions and ensure that each research project is successful 
• Demonstrated ability to plan and pursue challenging goals whilst successfully managing competing priorities 
• High level knowledge of relevant codes and legislation related to human research ethics and research governance within Australia

Requirements
 
• Provide or complete a National Police Check (conducted within the last 12 months)
• According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
