About the Role
The Clinical Trial Coordinator will work closely with Principal Investigators, Sponsors, the Research Unit Manager, and all associated staff to support successful implementation of a research project.
With the support and guidance from senior academic and research staff at the RCARRU, the Clinical Trial Coordinator may be involved in participant management and study visits, and data collection. The Clinical Trial Coordinator will have experience in working with patients in a Mental Health setting, meticulous attention to detail, strong self-motivation and ability to work independently and cooperatively, as required.
You will undertake study specific training as required, undertake RCARRU administrative duties and support other RCARRU staff/research projects as well as ensuring that the research activities conducted by the unit offer a high quality, professional and efficient research service to both Investigators and Sponsors.
About You
- A degree in the psychology, nursing, social work and/or related discipline, with
subsequent experience
- A strong interest in mood disorders, mental health interventions and an
understanding of psychiatric diagnoses and disorders
- Demonstrated experience and ability to conduct interviews and use standardised
mental health clinical assessment instruments
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to a research protocol, problem solving skills and an
awareness of the principles of the International Conference on Harmonisation and
Good Clinical Practice (ICH GCP)
- Demonstrated administrative and organisational skills in a research setting including
maintaining accurate research records and ability to set priorities and meet
deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective research
collaboration and engagement
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, with multidisciplinary stakeholders and
to see and accept direction as required
- Experience working in a mental health setting
Desirable
- Experience in working with patients with Depression
- Experience conducting randomised controlled trials, with pharmaceutical
interventions
Remuneration
Base Hourly Rates in accordance with Enterprise Agreement + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
