Ramsay Health Care SA is seeking an organised, customer-focused Medical Receptionist to join our Consulting Suites team at Kahlyn Day Centre.
This role plays a key part in supporting our psychiatrists and patients, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience for everyone who visits our clinic.
The Role
As a Medical Receptionist, you’ll be the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and clinicians. You will:
- Greet patients and visitors with warmth and professionalism
- Manage appointment bookings and patient records
- Handle phone and email enquiries efficiently
- Prepare medical documentation and reports
- Process payments, billing, and daily banking
- Provide general administrative support to doctors and the Administration Manager
You’ll be working in a friendly, supportive environment where teamwork and patient care come first.
About You
You’re approachable, reliable, and take pride in delivering excellent customer service. You thrive in a busy setting and enjoy supporting others in a professional healthcare environment.
Experience in a medical receptionist role is beneficial, but not essential. What matters most is your positive attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
- Strong customer service skills and commitment to excellence
- Ability to complete tasks within designated timeframes
- Intermediate level of computer skills within the Microsoft suite of products
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Previous health or medical services experience
- Previous experience in a medical administrative / reception position
- Experience with medical practice management software (preferably Genie)
