A new exciting and challenging opportunity has become available for a motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to grow their career and provide the best quality care for our patients. You will be providing clinical support as part of the Occupational Therapy team at the Joondalup Health Campus Mental Health Unit. The MHU has undergone major redevelopment and has opened its doors to a new facility with a capacity of 102 beds, including new youth and older adult units. 
 
 
 
About You
 
To be successful in this role, you will need to address the following selection criteria:
 
 
Essential
  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • Minimum 2 years clinical experience in an acute Mental Health setting
  • Evidence of ability to identify clinically appropriate interventions and implement evidence-based practice into service development  
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, service providers, external agencies, patients, families and caregivers
  • Demonstrated ability to apply clinical reasoning, sound judgement and complex decision making at an advanced level of practice
  • Well-developed skills in preparing written reports and NDIS applications
 
 
Desirable
  • Experience in facilitating psychoeducation groups and coordinating a group therapy program 
  • Completion or progress towards a relevant postgraduate qualification.
