The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse with Cardiac and Medical nursing experience to join the Cardiac Medical Unit at John Flynn Private Hospital. This permanent part-time role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive, highly skilled team delivering exceptional patient-centred care in a private healthcare setting.

 

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Medical Unit, you will be responsible for the assessment, planning, coordination, and evaluation of patient care, ensuring care is delivered in line with Ramsay Health Care’s core values and clinical standards.

You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support patients in optimising their health, recovery, and functional independence. This role is ideal for a nurse who enjoys working at a high level of clinical practice and values professional growth within a dynamic and rewarding environment.

 

About You

You are a committed and clinically capable Registered Nurse who thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting. You bring a strong patient focus, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to learning and professional development. Flexibility to work a rotating roster and a collaborative team mindset are essential for success in this role.

Skills and Experience

To be successful, you will have:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum of one year’s post-graduate experience in an acute or rehabilitation hospital setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in Cardiac and/or Medical nursing.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The Hospital

John Flynn Private Hospital is a 354 bed, acute care hospital located at Tugun, which is on the southern end of the Gold Coast, within 5 minutes from the Gold Coast Airport. The hospital provides services to the population of the Gold Coast and the Tweed Coast extending into the NSW Northern Rivers area.

Requirements

  • Must provide or complete a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
