The Opportunity
We are seeking Environmental Services Assistant to work across our housekeeping services at Donvale Rehabilitation Hospital. This opportunity will have you being a part of a brilliant team of people responsible for providing the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the rehabilitation facility.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness to all areas, including wards and therapy spaces
- Ensuring all equipment utilised on shifts is cleaned, restocked and stored in the appropriate storage area
- Working in a friendly and supportive manner at all times
- Maintaining communication networks with nursing staff and Allied Health Professionals ensuring quality clinical outcomes are achieved for patients.
- Ensure the highest standards of infection control are maintained and within safe operating procedures.
- Varied Shifts available with start times ranging from 7am, 830am, 3pm and 6pm. Perfect to find that work life balance.
Reporting to the Environmental Services Manager, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, 2IC and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.
Skills and Experience
The successful candidates will be punctual, reliable and with a commitment to genuine, friendly customer service.
- Previous experience in a hospital environment but not essential.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus
- Compliance with HACCP, Workplace, Health and Safety and Infection Control
- Have experience in cleaning services
- Be a team player and love to work within a team and autonomously
- Demonstrate attention to detail and take pride in your work
Remuneration: Base Hourly Rates of $26.64 + Casual Loading + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

Requirements
- Provide or complete a National Police Check (conducted within the last 12 months)
